Electronic Case Filing System for Bankruptcy

Case Management/Electronic Case Filing (CM-ECF) has been bankruptcy attorneys method of filing bankruptcies, since it was first introduced in the 1990's.

Electronic Case Filing system makes it easy for bankruptcy attorneys and their staff to file bankruptcies for their clients. Bankruptcy2012™ Software by New Hope Software, Inc., offers the best Case Filing Integration of any Bankruptcy Software.

Electronic Case Filing has three methods. First is OpenBK Case, the lengthy process of entering all client data (for petition and schedules) into the database directly through your courts website. This method is universal and available in all 94 bankruptcy court districts. You would then upload a Matrix text file as well as other documents (certificate of counseling or any post-petition documents), separately.

The second method is Case Upload. Case Upload is available in most bankruptcy court districts, however, not all. This method is easier than OpenBK Case, however a few extra steps from the Direct Upload option in your Bankruptcy2012™ Software. Case Upload is when you create your bankruptcy files as a package in your Bankruptcy Software and then upload several files (vs. manually typing in the data) to the courts website. The basic files created by your Bankruptcy2012™ software are: the case information, petition and schedules, and the creditor matrix. Other documents you may be able to browse for include your debtors certificate of counseling, Chapter 13 Plans, and Form 21 Statement of Social Security.

The third method is Direct Upload. Bankruptcy2012™ offers the easiest, fastest, most comprehensive version of electronic case filing with their Direct Upload feature. This is when the program, creates, and files your entire petition, schedules, matrix (with the option of adding plans, local forms and certificates) directly from your computer, with the touch of a button.

Electronic case filing allows the flexibility in being able to file your case 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No need to print to paper, copy and mail, or walk it to the court house.
